I leverage my degree and knowledge of psychology to quickly build rapport with my students, while paying attention to their specific needs. I graduated from UCLA in 1995 and I tutor grades 6-College.

My tutoring style:

I combine a Socratic feedback approach with empathetic understanding. I visualize the student’s goals, and work together to build toward the best results.

Success story:

Some of my favorite successes happened when working with inner-city kids in L.A. Helping a young person who “got a raw deal in life” achieve goals they barely imagined possible is one of the most fulfilling emotions a tutor can experience. And everyone has goals they want to achieve.

Hobbies and interests:

Video gaming (P.C.M.R!) and “tabletop” RPGs like DnD; science fiction and fantasy novels and shows, and other such nerdy stuff. Hiking: urban exploration, forest camping, and desert survival. Making and machining, inventing and tinkering.
