I am a science tutor and content creator with tutoring experience dating back to 2019, teaching middle school, high school, and college-level biology, general and organic chemistry, physics, and OAT/DAT exam preparation. I hold a B.S. in Biology from Brandeis University and am currently pursuing an M.S. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Florida. My background includes one-on-one tutoring, serving as a teaching assistant in organic chemistry, and creating instructional videos and practice questions for standardized test preparation. I tutor from elementary through college in Math and Science, with some ELA, language, and test prep experience.
My tutoring style is student-centered and supportive. I like to begin by asking students what they find most challenging so we can focus our time where it matters most. I break concepts down into clear, manageable steps and provide plenty of guided practice until the student feels confident and comfortable with the material. I adjust my pace as needed, making sure students truly understand the topic rather than just memorize answers.
One of my most rewarding tutoring experiences was as an organic chemistry teaching assistant, working with a pre-med student who was on the verge of failing the course. I scheduled extra one-on-one office hours, designed practice problems that matched - and even exceeded - the difficulty of exam questions, and had him explain his thinking out loud so we could pinpoint exactly where things were going wrong. Through consistent practice and targeted feedback, his confidence and understanding grew dramatically. By the end of the semester, he earned an A- and is now pursuing medicine at Tufts Medical School.
When I’m not tutoring, I love checking out new cafés and trying fun seasonal coffee drinks. I usually bring a good book with me, and I’m a huge Harry Potter fan, so rereading the series is one of my favorite ways to relax. I enjoy finding cozy spots to read, recharge, and stay curious outside of school.
