I am an experienced educator with three years of classroom experience teaching middle and high school math and currently teach 5th grade at a classical school. I tutor a wide range of subjects, including Math, ELA, English as a Second Language (ESL), Science, Social Studies, and Test Prep. I am a recent graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University and have experience supporting students from kindergarten through college, allowing me to adapt my instruction across a wide range of ages, subjects, and academic needs.

Tutoring Style

I am a supportive, positive, and engaging educator who is passionate about motivating students to do their best and build confidence with challenging material. I work with students to identify gaps in their knowledge and break complex concepts into small, approachable steps. I love helping students feel empowered in their abilities as they gradually take on more challenging topics and work toward true mastery. I also help students develop effective study strategies and independent learning skills they can apply outside of tutoring and throughout their academic journey.

Success Stories

One of my favorite tutoring success stories involved a fourth-grade student with ADHD who initially scored a Level 1 on her F.A.S.T. Math assessment. Although we met only once a week, we used our sessions to work through homework, strengthen foundational skills, and approach challenging concepts in ways that worked best for her. Just as importantly, we built a strong, supportive relationship that helped transform her attitude toward math and increase her confidence in her own abilities.

Within just one semester, she improved from a Level 1 to a high Level 4 on her F.A.S.T. Math assessment, while also making significant progress in her classroom performance. Watching her become more confident, motivated, and successful in math was incredibly rewarding and reinforced for me how much of an impact personalized support and a positive student-teacher relationship can have.
