I started tutoring in 2005 after my first college math class. I have been tutoring all areas and levels of math through Calculus for nearly 20 years. My undergrad degree is in math, from the University of Central Florida.

Tutoring Style

I am about helping students to understand the underlying concepts and ideas behind what they are doing. I never teach a student what to do without making sure they understand why it makes sense.

Success Story

I had a student that started college as a sports medicine major. I started working with him in his first semester in College Algebra. Shortly before he finished his associates degree, and was about to head off to university as an engineering major, he told me that me had always wanted to be an engineer. He chose sports medicine originally because he did not think he was capable of a STEM major. He told me that I was a major factor in his developing the self-confidence to peruse what he really wanted to do. That one felt pretty good!
