I am a dedicated math educator with over 15 years of experience tutoring and teaching students from elementary school through college. I hold a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Mathematics with a minor in Statistics from Eastern Kentucky University and specialize in creating personalized, engaging instruction that helps students build confidence and achieve their academic goals.
My tutoring style is highly personalized, flexible, and centered around how each student learns best. I adapt my teaching methods and strategies to meet the individual needs of my students, including those with learning differences and disabilities. I use a variety of creative, hands-on, multisensory, and sometimes unconventional approaches to make challenging concepts easier to understand. My goal is to help every student build confidence, find strategies that work for them, and experience meaningful academic success.
One of my most meaningful tutoring success stories is a student I worked with who was struggling academically and personally, with a 1.125 GPA and grades consisting primarily of Ds and Fs. By building a trusting relationship, providing personalized academic support, and helping him develop strategies for both school and life, I watched him completely transform his future. He graduated with all As and Bs and raised his GPA to an incredible 3.739! He is now attending college and continuing to thrive, which is one of the most rewarding outcomes I could have hoped for as an educator.
In my free time, I love spending time outdoors and exploring new places, especially throughout the West Coast. I also have four Nigerian Dwarf goats who keep me entertained with their hilarious personalities and antics! I enjoy traveling, discovering new adventures, and making the most of the beautiful outdoors.
