I am a computational biologist with several years of experience in bioinformatics and data analysis. I earned my bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Pittsburgh and tutor students from elementary through college in math, ELA, biology, and computer science. I enjoy helping students gain confidence by making complex topics clear and engaging.
My tutoring style is patient, supportive, and adaptable to each student’s needs. I break down complex concepts into simple, clear steps and use real-world examples to make learning engaging. I adjust my pace depending on the student—slowing down to reinforce fundamentals or challenging them with advanced problems when they’re ready. I believe in consistent practice and review to help students build lasting confidence and mastery.
One of my favorite success stories is when I worked with a high school student who was struggling in both math and biology. She lacked confidence and was falling behind, but through consistent tutoring sessions, I helped her break down tough concepts into manageable steps. Over the semester, her grades improved from C’s to A’s, and she began to actively participate in class with much more confidence. Seeing her excitement when she aced her final exams was one of the most rewarding moments of my tutoring career.
When I’m not tutoring, I love dancing hip hop and Bollywood, cooking new recipes, and playing pickleball. I also enjoy reading, relaxing with TV shows and movies, and spending time exploring new hobbies. Tutoring is a passion of mine even outside of work, as I enjoy helping others learn and grow.
